We saw this project as a challenge with a lot of new things to learn.





Indeed, none of us have ever made music or played an instrument. We must first understand how the classical guitar works before we can reinvent it. We also need to learn how to use notes and chords to create an instrument with which to play music. Eric wants a guitar with which he will be able to play easily but above all improvise. Our new instrument should therefore not be too restricted to give way to improvisation.




Like music, this is the first time we have had the opportunity to work on an exclusive design. That is to say, designing a product especially for someone with particular expectations. We could talk about custom-made guitars. We will therefore have to work closely with Eric to understand what his expectations are and how we can best meet them.




We each come from different worlds, so we have to get to know each other and make a place for ourselves in the group. One of our main objectives is to work as a team. Everyone must bring their knowledge to the group to move the project forward.





We have different backgrounds, Elisa is comfortable with product design techniques, Rick and Audrey have more knowledge about visual and graphic communication. We want to get out of our comfort zone and experiment with techniques that we are not used to working with. For example, electronics, interface coding etc... Do not be afraid to explore possibilities that are currently unknown to us.
