For the painting, we made stencils with paper using a laser cutter, to make the work more neat. I learned with this new prototype to use two touch boards at the same time. This allowed us to play basic notes on one side and chords on the other.
We worked as a team on this second prototype, we managed to get along and discuss to highlight different ideas with this prototype. We presented this prototype to Yuri, our coach, he was not very satisfied. For him, we used the same technique as for my first prototype so it meant going back in the process.
Once again, I used a technique for this prototype that I already knew from conductive paint. Nevertheless, as the reactivity was not fast enough for my first prototype, I decided to combine two touch boards for this one.
This week I was ill. I was able to make a 3D model + render of a visualisation of one of Rick ideas.
yuri kept us going when we were stuck. He gave positive feedback and then points to change. I prefer this way of coaching it helped us go further.
This week I painted different woods with varnish to test the look. We are thinking to still have the guitar feeling with the materials such as wood and messing. but the inside will have electronics.
Audrey helped me with the prototype and then started working on it himself. We found out that the sensor in combination with the board is not going to deliver what we had hoped for. She immediately took this up by using her creativity to create yet another prototype from which we could gain new insights.
Based on my deepening of technology, Elisa made a 3D drawing of what I had come up with. I was so surprised about this that it was the perfect addition and we were able to get to know each other's qualities.
This week I made sketches of my ideas to show my teammates how we can use technology to help eric get rid of his disability. I also worked out the idea using 4 Boards, 2 splitters and 4 sensors.
